Touch2id

The new Touch2id biometric and smartcard reader is a revolutionary proof of age card which is used prior to purchasing age restricted products such as alcohol or tobacco. The biometric and smartcard reader matches the print on the card to that on your finger, making photographic ID such as driving license or passport a thing of the past. The new technology does not require any database so your personal details are protected.

Touch2id was recommended to Diametric in November 2009 as they needed to find a solution to a badging issue for their new Touch 2id product. The area of the product to be covered was however difficult as it was raised and profiled. Diametric came up with a couple of suggestions, and having fully tested them to make sure they were suitable for the specific requirement, then manufactured a surface printed overlay which was on a flexible self-adhesive vinyl.
