Dogtag

In 2008 we were contacted by Dogtag®, the award winning travel insurers for action minded travellers. They asked us to produce a stainless steel tag to be worn around the neck by their policy holders, whilst on holiday. Each stainless steel tag would have a unique identification number, which, in the case of an emergency, would give vital medical details when it was needed most.

As the Dogtag® is worn around the neck, the material needed to be of a particular grade to prevent any skin or allergic reactions. The item also needed to resemble a piece of jewellery, whilst housing the Dogtag® logo and important information on the policy holder.

Whilst this may sound simple, getting the correct quality of stainless steel proved more challenging! However, we continued our efforts by supplying different samples, liaising each time with the customer until we met their desired specification.

Our reject rate is exceptionally low and this is as a result of having very experienced staff whose strong technical expertise is matched by our superb quality system. We focused our efforts on finding a solution, ensuring we met our client's requests and demonstrating our commitment to the customer, until we got it right.
