2007 - 2010

It's 3 years since Tad and I took on the responsibility of ownership ... and being in the 'hot seat' hasn't always been a smooth ride. The first nine months were relatively easy; with a successful move to larger premises one of our major achievements....then along came the biggest recession in living memory which effectively knocked most of our well laid plans completely off course.

So, as with all businesses during the last 18 months it was a time for Diametric to adapt, change and dare I say fight to survive! It's at times like these you realise the importance of having an extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic team behind you which I'm glad to say we had. It was their determination and dedication which ensured we pulled through, in fact certain areas managed to grow which was quite an achievement.

Another great advantage for us was the excellent relationships developed with our range of professional advisors, banks, accountants and solicitors all proved their worth during these difficult times and provided us with exceptionally good advice and support.

Our suppliers also played a great supporting role, enabling us to provide low cost, high quality, on time goods throughout the severest cost cutting period I can remember.

Looking ahead we see Diametric re-establishing itself as the first choice supplier of automotive parts alongside our more traditional and diverse range of industrial labelling solutions. In fact the latest member of staff our QA Manager (Dean Hoskins) is making great progress towards Diametric achieving 'JLR Q', Jaguars version of Fords Q1 quality system.

Couple all this with a strong Marketing presence, newly revamped website, and a sound business strategy Diametric is well placed to face the next 3 years and beyond with great confidence.
