Success of automotive manufacturing sector spells positivity for UK, says Diametric
Industrial badging specialist, Diametric, has expressed its confidence in the UK’s automotive manufacturing sector for 2012, following record exports in 2011.
UK car manufacturing rose 5.8% to 1,343,810 in 2011 and ended the year with a 1.6 per cent rise in December. Diametric, which works closely with some of the biggest names in the automotive sector to provide the essential finishing touches to their products, says the figures are good news for the manufacturing industry and the UK economy as a whole.
Graham Steele, Sales and Marketing Director said: “The automotive sector - including vehicle and engine production - really is leading the manufacturing sector and playing a big part in the recovery of the UK economy. As a manufacturer providing badges and labels for the automotive industry, we have seen first hand the increase in production and the positive ripple effect it has had on related industries such as ours.
“While we know 2012 will be tough for businesses of all types across the UK, we are confident that the automotive manufacturing industry will continue to flourish and we are looking forward to working with a number of leading companies to provide high quality badges for their new products.”
