Carbon Footprint Reduction
Here at Diametric we are aware of the need to help protect the environment from any negative impact that may arise from our everyday business. We have looked at various options to help reduce our carbon footprint and impact on the environment. Based on our evaluations we have put in to place several strategies to 'do our bit' and this year we will implement the following:
- Electronic Purchasing
- We are now asking all of our customers to email us their Purchase Orders. If you are an existing customer and know your point of contact with us, please email them directly. Alternatively you can email through to our Sales Department by clicking here. We will then hold your order electronically and email you back an acknowledgement. Wherever possible, please do not send confirmations by post or fax to avoid extra use of paper.
- Recycling and Re-use of Materials
- We try and re-use as much packaging as possible for deliveries and try to avoid using any non-recylable materials.
- Throughout our manufacturing processes, we try and salvage any materials to re-use rather than simply throwing them away. Although this can take a little more man-power, the reduction on our Carbon Footprint is significant.
- Our day to day paper usage is shredded and being recycled along with items such as plastic drinks bottles and cans that our staff consume.
Rest assured, we will not be complacent, along with the other strategies we are currently looking at, we will overview our manufacturing processes and day to day office life to find new ways to help maintain our environment for the future.
