Diametric Christmas Event 2006

oyed the festive season and would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
The Diametric Christmas event this year was quite different from normal, we all congregated at a local venue that had set the stage literally for a James Bond theme night. With the release of the film 'Casino Royale' it seemed very appropriate and the venue had 
obviously spent a lot of time and effort in to thinking about the 'set'.
We all dressed up in formal wear and were treated to an evening of fine cuisine, casino rooms, shooting gallery (which became quite competitive) and an Aston Martin DB7 that stole the heart of some, while the chance to dance with some 'Bond Girls' took 
priority for others. Appearances by actual stunt men from previous Bond films helped create a genuinely fun and entertaining atmosphere.
The evening went on in to the early hours as some gambled the night away with the 
'Shaken but not Stirred' notes that you could change for chips, or buy more with the proceeds going to a children's charity. The chips could then be used on a poker or roulette table depending upon your preference. The dance floor proved to be popular with some of the management, unfortunately those photographs have been deemed 'classified'! Someone will have to get their thinking cap on for the 2007 Christmas event now.
